“Samsung Galaxy Note 9 expected to hit stores August 24”

A new report from the Korean publication ETNews suggests the Galaxy Note 9 may go on sale August 24. This would be a mere two weeks after its August 9 unveiling, which would give Samsung a decent amount of time to collect pre-orders for the device.

Samsung has boosted its launch schedule for the Galaxy Note 9 back to the earlier part of August after announcing the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23, 2017. The predecessor smartphone went on sale September 15, 2017.

With an earlier market release, Samsung would be able to get the Galaxy Note 9 into the hands of consumers before the September-held IFA conference and especially before Apple announces the next generation of iPhone X models, most likely.

As fans await the Galaxy Note 9 launch, a newly leaked render suggests the device may look very similar to the Galaxy Note 8. Rumors indicate the Galaxy Note 9 may be slightly larger, with a 6.4-inch screen, while the Galaxy Note 8 has a 6.3-inch screen. the new device may adopt the thin bezels and no home button design that has become Samsung’s flagship staple in recent years.

It is likely Samsung devices won’t see major design changes until 2019. The Galaxy Note 9 is expected to see most of its upgrades internally, with features such as a 4,000mAh battery and an S-Pen stylus powered by Bluetooth.
