“Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Watch leaked features rundown”

Leaks and details about the Galaxy Note 9 continue to surface as the device’s launch event looms in just over two weeks.

Samsung is expected to unveil a new wearable called the Galaxy Watch alongside its latest flagship on August 9, as well as a new charging pad that is able to charge multiple devices at the same time. Users would be able to charge a smartphone and a smartwatch or two phones simultaneously, according to leakster, Roland Quant, who recently shared an image of the Samsung Wireless Charger Duo packaging on Twitter.

The Galaxy Watch will likely run the Tizen operating system instead of Google’s Wear OS, as prior rumors suggested. Samsung has long relegated Tizen for its wearables, but the Galaxy Watch will likely also work with Samsung’s Bixby AI platform. This would bring voice recognition and other IoT features to the smartwatch line for the first time.

The new wearable also made a short appearance on a Samsung’s U.S. website in a Rose Gold color option. The leak suggests the Galaxy Watch won’t differ from older models in terms of design, but Samsung may favor premium materials over a sports watch look as it has done in the past.

There are no price details available for the Galaxy Watch but it is expected to be available for pre-order on August 14 and to officially launch on August 24.

New reports indicate Samsung may introduce Bixby 2.0 for the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Watch. The updated AI platform is expected to have greater support for third-party applications, allowing Bixby to not only launch apps outside of Samsung’s own ecosystem but also allow voice commands to work specifically for those apps. Users can look forward to Bixby 2.0 being more responsive on the Galaxy Note 9 and featuring new AI content.

As for the Galaxy Note 9, new leaks reveal the device in Deep Sea Blue, Coral blue, and Lilac Purple color options, in addition to grey and brown models. Other recent leaks all but confirm a 4,000mAh battery for the smartphone, based on a filing from a Brazilian telecommunications agency. We’ve also gotten a glimpse of the Galaxy Note 9 package packaging ahead of launch in an unboxing video.

The device may include 128GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM as its base model, which could send prices sailing past $1000, according to SamMobile. The blog shared details indicating a 1050 euro ($1230) price tag for a base model and a 1250 euro ($1460) price for a 512GB premium model.

There are also now more details on the feature updates for the Galaxy Note 9 S-Pen. The stylus is expected to include Bluetooth and battery functionality, which would enable several off-screen features for the Galaxy Note 9. XDA Developers detailed that the S-Pen may have abilities including music control, camera shutter control and an unlock remote for the smartphone. These features will join other standard features on Samsung’s Air Command app, which serves as a hub for Galaxy Note S-Pen features.
