“Xiaomi Mi A3 all but confirmed in back-to-back leaks”

Specs, press renders, and live images of the Xiaomi Mi A3 have all leaked in recent days, giving a detailed look at the upcoming Android One smartphone. The device may soon be announced and is expected to hit European markets in early-August but the information now available on the Xiaomi Mi A3 has already left little to the imagination.

Most recently, GSMArena got a hold of live images of the Xiaomi Mi A3 and its product packaging, which shows the device in living color, and also reveals several hardware specifications for the smartphone.

From the leak, we’ve learned the Xiaomi Mi A3 will have a 6.08-inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chip, a 48-megapixel triple-lens rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 4,030 mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

Prior leaks from Roland Quandt of WinFuture showcased the press renders for the Xiaomi Mi A3, which give a close look at its blue, black, and shimmery white color options. We see that the device has a teardrop notch in the front and a horizontal set up for its triple-lens rear camera. Overall, the device looks solidly built, which is the intent of Android One devices — to bring higher quality features to some of the most economically beneficial devices on the market.

Quandt believes the Xiaomi Mi A3 will have an FHD+ display, as well as 4GB of RAM, 64 and 128GB of internal storage options with microSD expansion, the Android 9 Pie version of Android One, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The leakster noted that the details were not set in stone and the live leak has since confirmed the actual processing chip for the device. Previously rumors suggested the Mi A3 would run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chip.

Reports also suggest the Xiaomi Mi A3 is a global rebrand of the Xiaomi Mi CC9e, which launched in India earlier in July. Many of its specs are identical to those rumored for the Mi A3, save for the Mi CC9e featuring an HD+ display. However, the prior Xiaomi Mi A2 featured an FHD+ display, GSMArena noted, meaning the Chinese manufacturer likely won’t backtrack on tech specs for a next-generation product.
