Update 8/2: Two TechViewPRO readers have confirmed that Samsung’s public registration for its August 7 Unpacked event works. Sam told us he got the RSVP link from a different source, but after the initial sign up he received an email from Samsung with a second link and a code. Submitting the code registered him completely and he received a QR code to his email that will serve as his ticket to the launch event. Jay also confirmed in our comments section that he successfully completed his public RSVP.
Thanks, Sam and Jay, see you at Unpacked!

Samsung’s Unpacked launches are some of the top industry events of the year, but its upcoming Galaxy Note 10 unveiling may also be open to fans, in addition to media and partners. Samsung currently has a webpage available with a public invite to its August 7 Unpacked event, which takes place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York at 4 p.m. ET.
Having originally discovered an ad for the invite on Facebook, we found clicking the “register now” button automatically completes an initial sign up with instructions to wait for an email with a more detailed registration. If you sign up with this method, expect to have the email sent to the address associated with your Facebook account. We have not yet received this email to continue the registration but will update if and when it becomes available.
The RSVP page is still easily accessible when not connected to Facebook. Simply fill out your name, email address, and zip code and wait for the same email to confirm your registration. Register here.
Samsung does not typically open its launch events up to the public, but other smartphone makers have already experimented with making its unveilings a unique experience for fans. OnePlus is known for opening its launch events to the public for a small ticket fee and inviting fans to play with devices in a hands-on experience area afterward.
Samsung does often have post-launch activities at its Samsung 837 location in the Meatpacking District of New York, which typically include a first-hand look at new devices, music performances, and special appearances from notable Samsung fans. Actress, writer, and director, Issa Rae, was a special guest at Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 post-launch event in August 2018.
The manufacturer also hosted a public live stream event for the Galaxy S10 launch in February at Samsung 837 while it held the actual Unpacked industry event in San Fransisco.
If you’re not able to register for or attend Samsung Unpacked live on August 7 you can still catch all the details about the Galaxy Note 10 and Samsung’s other new products via live stream at Samsung.com, Facebook, and Twitter, which will also begin at 4 p.m.
