“Sennheiser at CES 2020: Wireless audio for all tastes and price points”

Las Vegas — Sennheiser has taken care to hit several price points for its latest wireless audio showcased at CES 2020. From $350 to $80, the different headphone models address several needs and features, from noise-canceling to active lifestyles, the options can appeal to a range of audiophiles. Here’s a rundown of the brand’s CES lineup.

Sennheiser PXC 550-II Wireless 

Sennheiser noted that its PXC 550-II wireless headphones could be a good choice for frequent travelers. with such highlight features as adaptive noise canceling to block out various airplane noises and 30 hours of battery life for long flights.

The headphones also include integration to the user’s voice assistant of choice and also turn playback on or off when users put them on or take them off. A wave of the hand by the right headphone activates smart pause. The PXC 550-II also fold into a more compact size for easy storage and come with a carrying case. The headphones will sell for $349.95 when available.

Sennheiser HD 450BT and HD 350BT

The HD 450BT (left) Sennheiser’s active noise cancellation option for users that don’t want to pay a lot of money for ANC. The headphones will sell for $199.99 when they release in mid-February. Outside of this feature highlight, the HD 450BT and the HD 350BT (right) have many similar features, including Bluetooth 5.0, 30-hour battery life, and instant voice assistant access. Supported wireless codecs include AAC, AptXTM, and AptXTM Low Latency. The HD 350BT will sell for $119.99 when available in mid-January.

Sennheiser HD 350BT and HD 450BT

Users can pair the headphones with the Sennheiser Smart Control app to use its equalizer feature to set their personal audio profiles and to optimize audio for podcasts, audiobooks, and other speech content. The app also displays device battery status and a user’s guide, as well as firmware updates.

Sennheiser CX 350BT and CX 150BT

The CX 350BT and CX 150BT are Sennheiser’s lower-cost earphone options, intended to pack a host of quality audio features within a light package. The CX 350BT will sell for $99.99 and the CX 150BT for $79.99 when they release in February.

The earphones support 10-hour battery life and USB-C fast charging, as well as Bluetooth 5.0, and a dedicated voice assistant button for Siri or Google Assistant support. Both models also support multi-pairing, which lets them connect to two devices at the same time.

Sennheiser CX 350BT and CX 150BT

Supported wireless codecs include SBC and AAC, as well as AptXTM and AptXTM Low Latency, which like the higher-end models. The earbuds also work with the Sennheiser Smart Control app.
