Update: A new report from Pricebaba and tech informant, Ishan Agarwal suggests that the Wi-Fi-only model of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, in particular, will likely start at EUR399.
Original story
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite may be set to launch on April 2 as details about the tablet recently surfaced on an Amazon Germany listing. The budget-model tablet follows the flagship Galaxy Tab S6, which released in September 2019.
The listing, which has since been taken down, revealed a EUR428.44 (approx. $475) price tag for an LTE model and a EUR415.75 (approx. $460) for a Wi-Fi-only model. It also included press renders and specs for the upcoming tablet.
If the listing’s details are accurate, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite may include a 10.4-inch display, 4GB of RAM, two AKG and Dolby Atmos powered speakers, and a 26.34 watt-hours Li-ion battery. Dimension for the device might be 24.5 x 15.4 x 0.7 cm and 718g in weight.
Prior rumors have suggested a Samsung Exynos 9611 chip for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, as well as 64GB and 128GB internal storage options with microSD expansion. Older details predicted a 7,040mAh battery with USB-C support, in addition to Bluetooth, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi, and NFC. The tablet is also expected to retain a 3.5mm headphone jack and have stylus support.
Cameras for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite may include an 8-megapixel main lens and a 5-megapixel front-facing lens. The aluminum design tablet is set to be available in blue and black color options.
The device has also passed through the FCC, FCC and Netflix HD streaming compatibility, which leads many to believe its launch is imminent. Once announced, its release could be stifled due to the Coronavirus pandemic, with certain markets likely having to delay its availability.
