“OnePlus 8 series specs, camera, and price start to push the flagship limit”

The OnePlus 8 series is now official with the OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 models, which will be available in the U.S. starting April 29. In addition to availability on T-Mobile, OnePlus also announced a new partnership with Verizon, in which it will introduce the OnePlus 8 5G UW model as a carrier exclusive.

With the OnePlus 8 Pro, the brand is now pushing the envelope more toward the actual title of flagship. Having added an IP68 rating and fast wireless charging to its feature lineup, OnePlus continues to catch up to its market rivals in terms of specs, as well as price.

OnePlus 8 Pro specs and camera

OnePlus confirmed a 6.78-inch 120Hz QHD+ display and a 5G enabling Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip for the Pro model. It features the brand’s first quad-camera set up with a 48-megapixel main lens, a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 3x telephoto lens, and a color filter camera.

Glacial Green OnePlus 8 Pro

OnePlus highlighted camera features, including OIS and EIS, ultrawide night shot, the device’s three mics for reduced noise. Sound zoom focuses sound as users increase or decrease zoom, audio windscreen minimizes background wind noises and 3-HDR that stitches together three HDR shots for the ideal shot. The OnePlus 8 Pro also supports Dolby Atmos. The device’s front camera is a 16-megapixel front-facing lens housed in a 3.8mm hole punch on the left side of the screen.

The devices’ two models include 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM/256GB internal storage. Other hardware includes its 4,510mAh battery, which supports 30W wired and wireless Warp Charge to provide 50 percent charging in 30 minutes, as well as reverse charging.

OnePlus 8 Pro price and color options

Color options for the OnePlus 8 Pro include Onyx Black, Ultramarine Blue, and Glacial Green, while its cases come in Sandstone, Smoky Purple, and Cyan.

The base model OnePlus 8 Pro will sell for $899 when available and the maxed model for $999. The OnePlus 8 5G UW will launch at the same time for $799.99 or $33.33 a month for 24 months in Onyx Black and a Verizon-exclusive Polar Silver option.

While the U.S. and Canada will apparently have a direct launch, preorders for European markets start April 14, with while devices release April 21.

The “pure” OnePlus 8 was also confirmed as a compact option for the series, with a 6.55-inch 90Hz Full HD+ display. OnePlus also highlighted its 72.9mm width, 8mm thickness, and 180g weight.

Also featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip for 5G and two models with 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM/256GB internal storage, the OnePlus 8 is powered by a 4n300mAh battery with 30T wired charge that provides 60 percent in 30 mins.

Interstellar Glow OnePlus 8

Its triple camera set up includes a 48-megapixel main lens, a 16-megapixel ultrawide angle lens, and a macro lens, plus a 16-megapixel front-facing lens.

Color options include Onyx Black, Glacial Green, Interstellar Glow. The base model OnePlus 8 will sell for $699 when available and the maxed model for $799.

OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z specs and price

OnePlus also confirmed its Bullets Wireless Z earbuds, which will be available in Black, Blue, Mint, Oat color options and will provide 10 hours of listening time in a 10-minute charge. A full charge provides up to 20-hours of listening time. The earbuds will sell for $49.99.
