The latest news about the impending Apple Watch Series 7 suggests that the wearable will come in larger sizes and in turn, will have new watch faces.

A report from Bloomberg indicates that the Apple Watch Series 7 will be available in 41-millimeter and 45-millimeter size options, up from the 40-millimeter and 44-millimeter versions available for the Apple Watch Series 6.

Widening the vertical edges of the Apple Watch Series 7 would undoubtedly change other dimensions of the smartwatch. So the size changes also update the display size, which would go from 1.78-inches on the Series 6 to 1.9-inches, and the display resolution, which would go from 368 x 448 on the Series 6 to 396 x 484.

The publication also shared details it learned about the watch face updates, which include one called Modular Max, which is an upgrade to the current Infograph Modular watch face; a face called Continuum, which adapts based on the time flow and current hour; a face called Atlas and World Timer internally; which allows users to see the 24 time zones at once; as well as a number of branded faces by the likes of Hermes and Nike.

Apple is known for keeping its watch designs fairly congruent. The last update took place with the Apple Watch Series 4 in 2018, when the wearable went from 38-millimeter and 42-millimeter size options to its current standing. There are current speculations that the new size update could mean Apple Watch Series 6 bands won’t fit the Apple Watch Series 7, which likely won’t be confirmed until the device is official.

Apple is expected to host a product showcase on September 14 where many devices including the Apple Watch Series 7 are set to be unveiled.

There is also a heavy focus on rumors surrounding health features on the Apple Watch Series 7. There was word of the wearable having a blood pressure sensor, but that report has since been refuted, despite the function being included on competitor smartwatches, such as the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.

However, the Apple Watch Series 7 might include other health features such as blood glucose monitoring, temperature sensors, and sleep apnea detection.
