OnePlus has confirmed that its global launch event for the OnePlus 10 Pro will take place on March 31. The virtual launch event will be streamed from various platforms, including YouTube and Twitter, as well as OnePlus.com starting at 10 a.m. ET.
The global launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro follows the home launch of the smartphone, which took place in China in January. Reports from that time accurately predicted that the global model would likely be introduced sometime in March; however, it might be a little while longer before the smartphone goes on sale.
OnePlus hinted in an invite email that customers could “Blind Pre-Order” the OnePlus 10 Pro for as little as $1 to receive a pair of free OnePlus Buds Pro. However, the Pre-Order must be paid in full between March 31 and April 7 in order for fans to take advantage of the deal. This could suggest that the market release of the device is on or around April 7.
The global model of the OnePlus 10 Pro will be available for markets including North America, Europe, and India.
The smartphone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging, and 50W wireless charging.
Its Hasselblad-powered triple camera setup includes a 48-megapixel camera mains lens, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, in addition to a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
Other feature highlights include USB-C 3.1, Bluetooth 5.2, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
With OnePlus teasing on social media that the specs on the OnePlus 10 Pro global model are pretty much the same as the Chinese model, there very well might be something unique about this smartphone that will be announced at this launch.
