TCL’s spec and design update for the BlackBerry Key2 is now available in the U.S., through Amazon and Best Buy, selling for $699. The device was showcased during WMC 2019 in February and has finally made is stateside with a rather high price tag for a device that was announced nearly a year ago.
The BlackBerry Key2 Red Edition features a deep red Series 7 Aluminum frame, a vibrant upgrade from the original silver and all-black Key2 models. The device also gets a hardware upgrade with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and will sell with a pair of red BlackBerry-branded earbuds.
TCL has continued the BlackBerry brand tradition of outfitting devices with a QWERTY keyboard, with the added support of the Android operating system. The Key2 features several Android services, including Google Assistant, Google Lens, and Google Pay, in addition to the long-trusted BlackBerry Limited security and privacy suite, and other productivity services including BlackBerry Hub, Hub+ and BlackBerry Calendar.
