More specs details have surfaced for the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro as their expected September 26 release date approaches. Several leaksters including Max J and Ishan Agarwal have shared more information about the upcoming affordable flagships, which show that the devices should continue their incremental improvements while maintaining hopefully maintaining decent pricing.
What will the OnePlus 7T Pro cost?
As spec leaks tumble out of the rumor mill, there has been little word on what the OnePlus 7T devices might cost. The Chinese manufacturer did usher in a significant price bump when introducing the OnePlus 7 Pro earlier this year; however, it surprised the industry by keeping the device relatively affordable at $669. Many feared the device would creep into the $700 range, but there is a possibility we could see this with the OnePlus 7T Pro.
OnePlus’ previously increased each device iteration by about $30. With that adage, the OnePlus 7T Pro could potentially start at around $699. Only time will tell whether OnePlus will return to smaller price increases with the T models since its major spec overhaul happened with the OnePlus 7 devices.
Leaked OnePlus 7T/ 7T Pro specs
Prior reports revealed that the new device models would feature triple-camera setups and now there are specifics on the lenses, which include a 48-megapixel standard lens, a 16-megapixel ultrawide angle lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x zoom for the OnePlus 7T. The camera setup for the OnePlus 7T Pro includes a 48-megapixel standard lens, a 16-megapixel ultrawide angle lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom.
Additionally, the smartphone cameras will support slow-motion video capture at 240, 480 and 960FPS for 10 seconds, as well as improvements to OnePlus’ Nightscape mode, which allows for better low light imaging.
Hardware and design-wise, the OnePlus 7T is expected to feature a flat 6.55-inch 2440×1080 resolution display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz frame rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chip, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, a 3,800mAh battery with 30T Warp Charge, and the Android 10 operating system.
The OnePlus 7T Pro is expected to feature a curved 6.67-inch 2K+ resolution display with a 90Hz frame rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chip, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, a 4,085mAh with 30T Warp Charge, and Android 10.
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition
There will also be a McLaren edition of the OnePlus 7T Pro, featuring a 12GB and a slightly jazzier design. Renders of this model have also leaked in recent days.
