“Microsoft SQ1 powered Surface Pro X price starts at $999, now available”

The Microsoft Surface Pro X is now on sale after its October launch, with a starting price of $999 and availability through the manufacturer, as well as on Best Buy.

With this productivity-focused tablet, Microsoft introduces the SQ1 Arm chip, a customized Qualcomm Snapdragon component intended to provide the power of a laptop and the connectivity quality of a smartphone for a seemingly more flexible 2-in-1 form factor.

The tablet features a 13-inch 2,880 x 1,920 resolution display, two USB-C ports, and wireless charging among its primary features.

Hardware highlights include 8GB and 16GB LPDDR4x RAM options, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB removable SSD internal storage options, a 10-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The tablet supports Windows 10, up to 13 hours of battery life and connects to both LTE and Wi-Fi 5. Audio features include two far-field Studio Mics and 2-watt stereo speakers.

Some in-box perks include a black Type Cover, one year of Office 365, and a Microsoft Complete 2-year extended warranty. The Microsoft Surface Pro X also supports keyboard and stylus accessories.

Reviews and commentary on the Surface Pro X have noted its design is a positive upgrade from other Microsoft tablets. The device has also gotten accolades for its display quality. However, app performance and battery life have been rated less favorably. Additionally, higher spec configurations of the Surface Pro X can get pricey, especially when paired with accessories.
