Verizon Fios subscribers will have access to a very fun perk starting January 29, when they can get three months of Google’s Stadia Pro streaming service for free. The deal also includes free Stadia Premiere Edition hardware, which includes a controller and a Chromecast dongle, valued at $129.
Highlight specs on Google Stadia include 4K resolution and 5.1 surround sound, in addition to a number of gaming titles for free or discount. Google promises a seamless streaming of gaming without the need to download any content. Some staple titles include Destiny 2, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle, among others. Stadia will easily connect to any proper Verizon Fios service or WiFi connection.
To take advantage of the deal, customers can subscribe or upgrade to one of Verizon’s Fios Gigabit packages, which start at $79.99. Subscribers will also get a new Home Router, compatible with WiFi 6 technology. Customers will be able to choose a cable TV package or subscribe to or maintain a steaming service, such as YouTube TV with Verizon’s Mix and Match deal. New TV/streaming subscribers will get the first month free.
