Apple announced a new iPhone SE model Wednesday. While the new budget smartphone will sell for $399 when opens for preorder April 17 and releases April 24, consumers will have several price options thanks to the brand’s trade-in program.
Older Apple devices between the original iPhone SE and the iPhone XS Max are eligible for trade-in with the value of the surrendered device going toward the price of the iPhone SE 2020. If devices are in good working order, there are several models that can be traded in for free, as their value exceeds the price of the new iPhone SE. Some trade-ins bring the price of the new budget smartphone down to as low as $79 or $99.
