The new iPhone SE is now available for preorder before its April 24 release. While excited fans await the budget smartphone, more details have been revealed about this model, including its RAM and battery capacity.

The iPhone SE 2020 features 3GB of RAM and a 1,821mAh battery, compared to 2GB of RAM on the original 2016 iPhone SE, which has not changed in terms of battery capacity.

Many are interested in the iPhone SE 2020 due to its $399 price tag, which is paired with many high-tech features from the iPhone 11 series. Its design is also adopted from the iPhone 8, including its capacitive fingerprint sensor.

With iPhone trade-ins, consumers can get the new iPhone SE for free, or for as low at $79 or $99, depending on the model of old iPhone being surrendered. Apple has also updated its AppleCare+ price for the iPhone SE to just $79, compared to the $129 for older models.

Customers have up to 60 days after purchasing a device to set up the extended warranty. Apple also offers payment options, which include $3.99 per month for the standard AppleCare+ or $7.99 for the extended warranty with theft and loss protection.

Other features on the new iPhone SE include a 4.7-inch IPS LCD Display with Touch ID, an A13 Bionic chip, and 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB internal storage options. Its rear camera is a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with OIS and 4K 60FPS support and its front camera a 7-megapixel lens. Color options include Black, White, and Product RED. Proceeds from Product RED iPhone SE sales are set to support efforts toward COVID-19 relief.

Apple has also outfitted the iPhone SE 2020 with a IP67 water and dust resistance rating and Qi wireless charging. The device also supports a standard SIM and an eSIM.
