A new Related tab has been introduced on YouTube Music for Android mobile devices as of Tuesday. The update is being rolled out globally and users will notice the new tab on the info page of a currently playing song to the right of the Up Next and Lyrics tabs.
Once users select the tab they will see curated content under a “You might also like” list. The Related tab provides a list of suggested songs, playlists, artists, albums, and EPs based on the type of song being played. The tab may also include an About section for the artist.
The amount of curated information available varies depending on the song. A popular artist may have all options of the Related tab filled with content, while a lesser-known artist may just have related songs or a song uploaded by a third party may not have any additional information.
The Related tab will also soon be available for iOS mobile users. YouTube Music is currently available through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
