“Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Fold begin update to One UI 3.1”

Samsung’s latest One UI 3.1 update is now available and is rolling out to handsets, including the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Fold. The update was introduced on the Galaxy S21 series in January and is expected to transition to several other Samsung flagship models, including the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Z Fold 2, and the Galaxy Z Flip.

But the Galaxy Note 10 series is the first to get access to the N97xFXXU6FUBD update version in Germany, and the original Galaxy Fold is getting the F900FXXU4EUBF version in France, according to sources at SamMobile. The over 1GB firmware contains the One UI 3.1 update and the March 2021 security patch. Due to its size it is advisable that users download the update over a Wi-Fi network. Users who have not yet received an automatic update to their device can initiate the update by accessing Settings > Software update > Download and install on a Galaxy Note 10 or Galaxy Fold handset.

Highlight features on One UI 3.1 include Eye Comfort Shield, Private Share (blue light filter), automatic device switching for Galaxy Buds, the ability to remove GPS location data when sharing photos, and extract the date and address data from event titles in the Calendar and Reminder apps, in addition to performance of the camera improvements, and other minor UI changes. Recent reports also indicate that One UI 3.1 will bring wireless DeX on PC support to all Samsung flagships.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Fold users in other markets can expect the update to hit their devices in the coming weeks.
