“Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Release Date Could See All Glass Smartphones”

Current rumors suggest that all devices in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 series could feature a casing made of real glass rather than a plastic casing that is fashioned to look like glass.

The report comes from Twitter leakster Ice Universe, who claims that all three Galaxy S22 models are getting a material upgrade. The insider did not give any detail outside of that; however, the news has got other media buzzing about its validity.

Many have compared this potential design setup to the Galaxy S21 series, in which the standard Galaxy S21 features a plastic design while the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Ultra both feature glass back panels. Others note that it doesn’t matter if Samsung uses real glass for the Galaxy S22 series, the manufacturer will still include a protective layer, such as Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top to reinforce the glass.

While Samsung has become known for using what some have coined “glasstic” on its mid-range and low-end devices, the brand is setting the Galaxy S22 series up to be a true flagship device family. In some prior Galaxy S series, choosing the base level model meant not only missing out on the new flagship features but also the snazzy flagship design. If this rumor is true, all consumers will be able to benefit from a high-end design, however, the models may still differ slightly in specs.

Rumors suggest that the standard Galaxy S22 might come in black, green, pink gold, and white color options, while the Galaxy S22 Plus might come in black, green, pink gold, and white color options, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra in black, dark red, green, and white color options.

The standard Galaxy S22 might also have a 6.06-inch display, while the Galaxy S22 Plus might have a 6.55-inch display, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra a 6.81-inch display. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is also rumored to include a built-in S-Pen stylus and could potentially release under the brand name Samsung Galaxy S22 Note.
